Client project details

Brambleton Golf Course (Loudoun County, VA)

The Project

EGGI was contracted by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) to conduct a groundwater exploration program with the intent of developing sufficient on-site groundwater resources to meet the needs of a proposed 18-hole golf course. Purchase of the property was contingent upon finding enough irrigation water. Several dry wells had been drilled on site prior to EGGI’s involvement with the project. Based upon EGGI’s detailed geologic investigation, geologic mapping, bedrock fracture fabric analysis, photolinement analysis, recharge assessment, and a review of potential contaminant threats, EGGI was able to develop 750,000 gallons per day from a series of bedrock wells.

Status/Results:

This project has been considered extremely successful by our client. Based upon the results of our investigation, the NVRPA purchased the necessary land to build the golf course. The wells have been in production for many years and this golf course is fully constructed and operational.
